Natural Eczema Treatment Soap

For a lot of people, eczema is a lifelong curse. With all the eczema treatment and products available out there, it can be difficult to choose one that will best work for you.

In general, synthetic eczema treatments are discouraged as there have been a number of reported adverse side effects after prolonged use. For this very reason, it is important that you are able to find natural and safer means to get rid of eczema.

Why Consider Making Homemade Soaps?

It is very unfortunate that majority of the commercial soaps sold on the market today contain some harsh chemicals and ingredients that can trigger and possibly aggravate an existing eczema condition.

Strong chemical formulations can strip the skin from its natural oils, which can make it prone to infection as well as irritation. This is one of the reasons why, no ordinary soap should be used as an effective eczema treatment.

Oatmeal Soap

If you have been actively seeking eczema treatment, then you may be fairly familiar with oatmeal baths as one of the most effective eczema treatment options for relieving itchiness. Here are some known benefits of oatmeals:

•Fights dryness. Oats are known to contain polysaccharides. This is a gelatinous substance that can help leave a protective film on skin.

•Add moisture. Oats are also packed with healthy, moisture-rich fat that will help keep the skin hydrated.

Simple Oatmeal Eczema Treatment Soap Recipe

If you are unable to find some good and reliable oatmeal soap brands, it is a great idea to make one.

You will need the following:

•1 large bar of Dove soap

•3 to 5 tablespoons of oatmeal, grounded and unflavored

•4 to 5 tablespoons of water

Procedure

Using a blender, ground up the oatmeal until it is finely milled. Make sure it should not be as fine as flour in order to retain it exfoliating capabilities. Grate Dove soap into tiny slivers then add water. Heat the mixture in a microwave for about 2 to 3 minutes; make sure to check several times.

Gradually add the oatmeal into the mixture, stirring occasionally. Place mixture in a mold and allow to cool and dry.
